My husband never fails to make me feel special on Mother’s Day. My son and him always connive and share secrets with each other in regards to my Mother’s Day surprises. But more often than not, although there were Mother’s Day surprises for me all the time, some of those were not all that much of a surprise anymore because my husband usually asks me if there’s anything I want for that special day…referring to shopping. And of course, I always have an answer for it. I excitedly tell him all the time what I want. 😉
So with Mother’s Day celebration coming this Sunday, I decided to give dads ideas for Mother’s Day that the wives would love. Some of these ideas have not been done by the hubs yet, so this is also kind of giving him a hint also because whenever he asked me what I want…it just always goes to material things when in fact it could also be other things.
1) BREAKFAST IN BED
Start the day by waking her up with a kiss or a hug while carrying all her favorite breakfast goodies to her on a tray. I’d be all delighted to have breakfast in bed…one thing that the hubs has not done for me yet. Paging my hubby! 😉
I love flowers! My flower garden can attest to that. But I also love receiving a bouquet of flowers. And they don’t have to be expensive flowers from a flower shop. Any flowers would delight me even if you bought them cheap or they’re just wild flowers you picked somewhere. It’s the thought that counts after all.
3) HOMEMADE CARD
Nothing is more special to me than a homemade card. The effort that comes with it is what melts my heart. And those sweet words from the little ones can’t be beat.
4) LUNCH DATE TOGETHER
Just the two of you and minus the little ones for a little while. Make her feel how you appreciate her as your wife and the mom of your kids.
5) GIFT SHE WANTS
All of us has something we need and there is also that something that we want. What we want doesn’t have to be expensive though. But if you can afford to splurge on what your wife wants, then why not? I always give my husband hints on what I know he can afford. 😉
6) DINNER WITH THE KIDS
Having dinner with your kids is just the sweetest. They are the reason on why you’re celebrating this special day after all.
7) A FULL BODY MASSAGE
End the celebration with this. I love a good whole body massage. I would love to have one every night! Nonetheless, having it even only on Mother’s Day would suffice. At least it wouldn’t only feel good, it would be so special too.
Since Mother’s Day is a whole day event, why not spend every minute of it celebrating? Without a doubt, any mom would feel extra-special and over the moon if you start making her special from morning until night time. Don’t you think so?
