Happy Food Trip Friday!
We’ve been having a lot of spring-like weather this winter and we couldn’t be any happier. And now that it’s already March and spring is right around the corner, I really thought that our weather will continue to be in the 60’s, but as always, the weather is unpredictable and we have a major winter storm coming this weekend. Yup, we are expecting two to four inches of snow around here. I sure did not see that coming because when I checked the forecast a few days ago, the weekend showed to be A-okay…like sunny and in the 60’s. Apparently, Old Man Winter is having his last laugh. But I hope it’s not as big a laugh that my husband experienced back in 1993 when they had what is called around here, the Blizzard of ’93 which began almost exactly 24-years ago this weekend on March 12, 1993, a massive storm that affected the entire east coast of the United States with devastating results.
Thinking about the cold weather is making me lazy already. LOL. Don’t you just want to snuggle all day when it’s cold? 🙂 I don’t want to deprive ourselves of good home-cooked meals though so I thought of preparing food using my slow cooker this weekend. I scoured the internet again for the best slow cooker recipes and as usual, I was blown away by what I discovered.
